Sharon “Narasi TV” Raih PPIA-VOA Broadcasting Felloship Program

Jakarta, Poskita.co – The PPIA-VOA Broadcasting Fellowship Program is pleased to announce Sharon Margriet Sumolang as the awarded of the fellowship program for the year 2023.
Sharon Margriet Sumolang is a graduate of the International Relations program at the Parahyangan Catholic University. She has a passion for journalism and international affairs, and as young journalist She
has shown exceptional writing and reporting skills during her first carrier at Narasi TV.
As the winner of the fellowship program, Sharon will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced journalists and editor in the US at VOA Indonesia Service in Washington DC for 6 months, one of the
leading international news organizations in the world. She will be given the chance to work on a range of projects, including reporting, writing, editing, and producing content for VOA’s various media platforms,
including radio, television, and online.

The PPIA-VOA Broadcasting Fellowship Program is a partnership between Perhimpunan Persahabatan
Indonesia Amerika (PPIA) and Voice of America (VOA), designed to provide young journalist or Indonesian students and recent graduates with practical experience in broadcasting and journalism. The
PPIA-VOA Broadcasting Fellowship Program will provide transportation to the U.S., basic living expenses, health insurance, and visa expenses.
The program is open to Indonesian citizens who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or who have graduated within the past two years. Applicants must have a strong interest in journalism, broadcasting, and international affairs, and must possess excellent communication skills in
both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
“We received many outstanding applications for the fellowship program, and we are grateful for the high
level of interest shown by Indonesian young journalists, students and recent graduates,” said the Chaiman
of PPIA. “We look forward to continuing to support the growth and development of Indonesia’s media industry through programs like this.”
